The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail is a wonderful cycling trail between Wangaratta and Bright, with a side track running from Everton Station to Beechworth. The trail is suitable for road bikes.
These are essentially caches placed for cyclists using the trail but there is easy parking for cars at each GZ.
As you approach Myrtleford from Gapsted on the trail you ride through some wonderful avenues of Oak Trees and Poplars. In the Autumn these large trees provide a riot of colour. The North East is truly a wonderful place to admire the Colours of Autumn.
