Geocache Description:

#18 cache by harrowang

The Springhurst/Byawatha Landcare Group has created a self-guided Eco Tour of sustainable farming, forestry and land management sites in the Springhurst/ Eldorado/Byawatha areas. (Brochures are available from the Wangaratta Visitors' Centre.) We thought it would be interesting to highlight some of the features along this Tour with a cache or five. Many of the roads in this series are un-sealed but quite manageable by a 2WD vehicle – the farmers drive them all the time!

This cache series is not designed to be done in any particular order, so you can start and end where you like.

This site is not strictly on the Eco Tour, but we took the scenic route around Eldorado.

Situated in Eldorado, this swing bridge over Reidy Creek was replaced in 2007.
Note how high this Creek has risen in times gone by!

Be aware that muggles may approach from any direction!

Take a stroll along Reid’s Walk  (approximately 1.1kms) which leads you to some interesting points of Eldorado’s history.

The cache is a mint tin with magnets attached. It contains a log book and small swaps. Please bring your own writing implement.
Congratulations to Lostmonster & Co - FTF!
