Some cachers tend to be the marathon type - hitting the road nearly every day in search of the next cache. Others are sprinters - putting up big numbers of finds in single sessions. This cache honors both types.
The cache IS at the posted coordinates, but you'll need to bring your own pen. However, to log a find for this one, you must meet at least one of these requirements:
You must first find a geocache each and every day for at least 100 consecutive days (Marathon)
- OR –
Find at least 100 geocaches in a single day (Sprint)
If you are logging this cache during a current streak, it CAN be logged on your 100th day, or the 100th of the day. You can show the proof any way you like, a screen shot of your stats or a reference to your geocaching page is fine. However, logs of cachers who do not meet the requirements will be deleted.
My personal streak is 126 consecutive days with a find, from 1/26/12 through 5/30/12. The mild winter didn’t hurt. Having a kidney stone attack on Day 52 didn’t help. I also have done 101 finds in a single day since the cache originally published, so I've experienced how demanding both the Sprint and Marathon can be.
The Difficulty level recognizes the effort required to log this cache. The cache is easy to find, and placed with permission and knowledge of the business owner.
There will be a small prize and refreshment for the FTF. The consolation prize for everyone else is checking off the elusive D5/T1 box on the grid.
