Michaud Lake Geopoker Run Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ironfist104: It isn't popular and is too hard to maintain... cache stages go missing or get destroyed by mother nature.... don't have time to re-set it up every year and also was meant as an event but no one showed.

Geocache Description:

This cache will take you on approximately 65km round trip, depending on how many mistakes you make LOL. There some good climbs a few water crossings and lot of nice stretches for the speed junky. Also if someone would like to make a weekend of it there is a camping spot at the final location and a pebble beach to have a swim, Also you could bring a rod for a day of fishing. Snap lots of pictures there lots of scenic opportunities.

RULES OF THE GEOPOKER RUN GAME:

* This cache is open to any and all participants. Although its main objective is to gather a five card hand of poker to be ultimately played against other Geopoker Players, there is a log book in each cache which the casual weekend geocacher can still sign. We ask that if those casual geocachers do not wish to play Geopoker with the rest of the players, that they kindly leave the cards for participating Geopoker Players.

* The provided coordinates here on geocaching.com today are for the first cache location only. Once a Geopoker Players finds that cache, the coordinates for the second cache will be provided for them, written on the lid of the container. And so forth until all five caches are located.

* As of today, the game is tentatively scheduled to end on August , 2013. That date will be extended to a later date (perhaps in September) if there are not enough Geopoker Players. Further information on it’s definitive closing date can be found by visiting the geocaching.com website towards the projected ending date of August , 2013.

* Once the Geopoker Run has officially ended, the five cache locations will remain active and open to any casual geocacher who wishes to simply visit the location based upon the pure enjoyment of geocaching itself.

* Because of the rugged terrain condition, and lengthy distance covered, this Geopoker Run would be best completed using an all-terrain vehicle. Although this is just a suggestion, and any and all casual geocache participants are free to join in.

* Although not mandatory, we ask that you consider taking a photograph of yourself holding all five unopened envelopes at the final and fifth cache location. This would then be a good opportunity to share your picture with other Geopoker Players here on geocaching.com.

* For participating Geopoker Players, the gathering will be held two days later on August , 2013 at Pigeon Lake. Coordinates and driving directions will be provided here on geocaching.com. We’ve chosen this location because of a large suitable parking area which has access by all-terrain vehicle, car, bike, helicopter, horse, etc. There may be a fun ATV Ride following the Geopoker Game.

Let’s be safe, let’s have fun, and don’t forget to tell your friends. If this is successful, I hope to have other Geopoker Runs in the future. And For more information on how to play send me an e-mail.
