Another one of those lovely remote places to walk the geomutt and explore. I have been looking for an appropriate crossing for if ever the Ashburton River Bridge is knocked out for any reason. If it is, the only route is over the Thompson's Track. River was flowing too fast today to find out.
Cache is a 220ml sistema snaplock and you will need to bring your own pen.
Parking is easy and down a track even 2WD vehicles will be able to travel down.
