Laptentjahke Traditional Cache

N: Cachen er en liten lock&lock plastboks med log i ziplock, blyanter, og litt byttesaker.
E: The cache is a small lock&lock plastic box, holding log in ziplock, pencils and some small items.
N: Dette er nok en liten utfordring. Cachen ligger på toppen av Laptentjahke (1245 m.o.h.), og er vel verdt turen. Fantastisk utsyn over Sylarna mm i alle retninger fra toppen. Krever litt innsats å komme opp, men det er ikke vanskelig - bare slitsomt. Selv gikk jeg opp fra cachen "Utsikt mot Sylarna". Opp til den cachen er det fin sti fra Tjallingen, videre mot Laptentjahke må du gå i terrenget. Fin tur! Fjellopplevelsen blir sterkere når du kommer deg vekk fra STFs merkete (og for den del utmerkete!) stier!
Cachen når du på dagstur fra Storulvån. Du kan gå hele veien, men jeg anbefaler MTB-sykling fram til Tjallingen. Litt utfordrende men morsomt på sti mellom Storulvån og broen over Handølan, derfra fin grusvei.
E: This cache is a bit of a challenge, as it's a significant hike. But well worth the effort. The cache is placed on top of Laptentjahke (1245 m.a.s.l.). From there you have fantastic views of Sylarna and beyond in all directions. The hike up takes some effort, but is not technically demanding (watch your step, though!). I made my ascent from the cache "Utsikt mot Sylarna" - from there it's a reasonably straightforward hike, but with no path. Up to "Utsikt mot Sylarna", however, there's a nice (unmarked) trail from Tjallingen. If you make the effort you'll be rewarded with a wonderful landscape and superb views. And you'll likely be all on your own - few people leave the STF trails but the mountain experience is the more intense if you do!
The cache is within reach of a day-trip from Storulvån. You may hike the whole way, or mountainbike to Tjallingen and hike from there (which I did). The bike ride from Storulvån to the bridge across Handølan is fun but challenging; from the bridge to Tjallingen there's a straightforward dirt road.
