N: Cachen er en liten lock&lock boks med log, blyanter og litt bytteting.
E: The cache is a small lock&lock plastic box holding a log, pencils, and some small items.
N: Cachen ligger nær broen over Handølan på stien fra Storulvån mot Gåsen. Ca 2 km lett gange på fin sti, over broen, og så er du der! Pass på å gjemme cachen godt etter logging, så den ikke blir synlig for mugglere.
Cache-navnet har en åpenbar Springsteen-referanse, og det er kanskje en tanke vulgært. Men alle cacher skal ha et navn, og dette var navnet som dukket opp. The River var platen (ja, det var en "plate" = en LP!) som mer enn noen annen Springsteen-plate var preget av hornet til nå avdøde "Big Man" Clarence Clemons. La cachen være til hans ære. Skjønt jeg tror ikke han var noen fjellvandrer...
Det er fint ved Handølan! Ta deg tid til en pust i bakken og nyt naturen.
E: The cache is placed near the bridge across Handølan on the trail from Storulvån towards Gåsen. Just ca 2 km on a nice trail, across the bridge, and you're there! Make sure to hide the cache well after logging!
Please forgive the slightly vulgar & obvious Springsteen reference - but every cache needs s name, and Springsteen tours Scandinavia this summer. More than any other Springsteen record, The River carries the mark of the late "Big Man" Clarence Clemons' horn - let the cache be a tribute to his unique sound.
It's really nice by the Handølan river. Allow yourself time for a rest and enjoy the beautiful surroundings!
