5th Annual Geo Cathlon – At the OK Corral
The OK Corral is open on Saturday September 22, 2012 for your Geocachin’ pleasure. Visit the “Historic Kin Hut” and surroundin’ grounds in the western “Hog Town” of Port Alberni for a “Horsin’ Around” good time. Bring along your favourite horse(s) or mule(s), your saddle and chaps and the required GPS for a very Western Time. Of course, you may wish to come dressed for the occasion!! There might be prizes for some of the best dressed.
Registration and saddle up will be startin’ at 9:00am and the cattle drive will commence at 10:00am. For the adventuresome, teams will be venturing off site in their favourite transportation in the quest for clues to the final prize. We will also have some other great geocachin’ oriented activities on site and lots of socializin’. Don’t expect the usual or obvious......this will definitely be different......
To round off the event we will have an old fashioned “Chow Down”. We will have a western delicacy of Chili and buns plus whatever you decide to bring along to compliment the feast. Use your imagine or not.....but it could be roughage, greens, sweets, or ????? We will provide the water and coffee/tea.
We welcome novice ranch hands to this event where they can learn about geocachin’ with their friends.
Our western partner Landsharkz will be ridin’ in on their thoroughbreds and bring along the great selection of geocachin’ stuff for your purchasin’ pleasure. We are hopeful a BCGA Representative will also be updatin’ us on the latest in geocachin’ things to know.
So y’all can expect a great event and wonderful time, visitin’ fellow ranchers (geocachers), chow down on some great delicacies, ride your stallion to great adventures and laugh a lot and learn some stuff, for a small sum of $6.00 per person (to cover rental, prizes, food and beverages). If you can, bring along some geocachin’ stuff to be used as prizes. You will be rewarded for your efforts.
The event will take place rain or shine!!!!!!!!!!
Hope y’all will join us.
