We had a lot of fun (most of the time!) searching for the caches all along the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail. Many thanks to jmonti, the champions, hound dawgie, and binarymayhem for hours of fun. They honed our observation skills to notice the smallest thing that is out of place. Here’s our tribute to you!
We learned many lessons while caching on the WVRT. The second was to learn your trees. Knowing what a juniper virginianis looks like can save you lots of time. The corollary to this is even if you can tell an old willow from a sugar maple, sometimes you just can’t see the forest for the trees, so use your mantracker skills.
