Crawley Down All Saints church was built in 1843. It was contructed of locally hewn sandstone, rather than of the more common brick of that era. It is in Early English style, with pointed arches and windows and having an arch-braced timber roof structure.
The Church is situated at what would have been the center of the village at the time, and was once part of a larger parish that took in much of Copthorne and Turners Hill.
The published location will take you into the church grounds. There you will see a silver coloured drain pipe with a date cast on it. This represents ABCD. The final cache can be found at
N 51 07.(A+1)(C-A-D)(A-D); W 000 05.(D-A)(C-2)(D-1)
Parking is availible either in the church car park just off Vicarge road, or a small layby on the Turners Hill road.
Congratulation to asuma99 for the FTF
Happy caching
If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
