Geocache Description:

The cache is on the Bernardo Trail.  Enter the trail by the Rancho Bernardo Park located by a eucalyptus tree and some bushes.  The short trail will take you to the longer trail.

The Bernardo Trail is a two mile loop in the San Dieguito River Park.  The park ranger has given permission for this series with the understanding that cachers stay on the designated trail. You start from the parking lot and take the short trail to the larger one where there is a hiking board.  We recommend taking the hike starting to the left because you can do the Anniversary series first and then pick this one up on your way back around the loop.  We have one more cache along this trail as well.  It is called Lake View.  This is a beautiful trail that circles by Lake Hodges.  There is lots of wildlife to see along the way.  You will need to bring your own pencil.
