This is a series of caches along the St Mary’s river.
I wanted to do this series to try to get away from the Grab n Go mentality. You will have to WANT to make this trek and WANT to find them once youre there.
I very much enjoyed the walk and loved watching the wildlife as i made the trek. I hope you do to.
This is NOT a trail! So if you plan to do this series be prepared for rugged terrain, bugs, poison plants, etc etc etc. Please do not attempt this series when the water is high. Some of these caches may not be reachable if it is. I spent a significant part of this hike along the river bed.
I saw several deer stands so please use caution during hunting season, and be courteous of those that use this land for sustenance.
Some of these caches are intentionally difficult to find. So be prepared to do some looking, crawling and climbing around to find them.
Some of these containers can be difficult to open. There is no proper end to open. Grab both ends firmly and twist. One end or another will come loose.
I suggest that you also have a log removal tool ready for pesky logs.
