Geocache Description:

While out scouting for caches, I stumbled upon a lovely monument in an unlikely spot so I placed a cache here and hoped a local cacher could fill in the story for us.

Thanks go to the Dam Trolls and MD Surveyor for helping fill in the story. Wawa employees Melissa Pennington, 18, and Nancy Atkinson, 31 were shot to death on March 1, 1999 in a robbery of the store. The perpetrator was convicted and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
