Starting at 12th and Tranquille Rd. Kamloops BC. Drive west along Tranquille Rd. Folllow the main road for 18 k. There will be a fairly large pullout where you can park. The last 7 k is a gravel mountain road with many blind corners. Drive carefully.
The road goes rigt past the old Tranquille Tuberculous Sanitorium. Later to become a hospital for the mentally infirm and now is in the planning stages for a resort community complex. It is commonly known to the locals as Tranquille Farm. Once you find Firewood Refugee take the path up to the lookout. From there you can see parts of Kamloops, Tranquille Farm and parts of Kamloops Lake. The view is amazing and apparently there is a cache hidden nearby. This is our first cache so we will welcome all comments.
