A while ago I took a trip to Japan as the Blue Mountains Sister Cities Youth Ambassador to Japan. While I was there, my host father and I placed a cache in a park in my host families neighbourhood: Yurinokidai Park - A Sister Cache. This was the first cache to be placed in the entire city of Sanda in the Hyogo Prefecture. Since introducing my host father to caching, he has placed 25 other caches to date (27/1/13).
Since placing that cache, I always had plans to place a sister cache here in Australia symbolising the sister cities agreement. However, I could not find a place that reminded me enough of the park in Japan. Finally I discovered Emu Green, which seemed to me to have the same tranquility. When we were sitting in this park, the chirping birds were extra peaceful.
The Blue Mountains has two sister cities: Flagstaff, Arizona and Sanda-Hyogo, Japan. These relationships are monitored by the Blue Mountains Sister Cities Committee
In honour of my cache in Sanda this cache is a micro. The cache is not directly in the mountains, but just a little further up the road the sign with the sister cities is located at the base of the mountains. (I am aware the picture below is from the Yarramundi entrance to the Blue Mountains, but the sign looks the same.)
Congratulations to limaka for the FTF

Happy Caching
