This cache will bring you to the Henry Littledyke Reserve, 56 acres of natural bushland that has never been cleared.
The land was bought from Henry Littledyke in 1909 by the railways to service water for steam trains at Nyora. If you take a walk through the reserve you will come across the reservoir that was built using horses and dredges, and also employed children riding ponies over the bank to consolidate it. You may also encounter some of the abundant wildlife that calls the reserve home. Wombats, possums, echidnas, wallabies, numerous frogs and several varieties of birds. Please keep an eye out for snakes in the summer months. You can pick up an information sheet which includes more details about the reserve at the entrance just near GZ.
While there, you could also enjoy a picnic at the entrance, and enjoy the spectacular views.
As for the cache, you will need to byo pen. Should be fairly straightforward, and as usual return it to where you found it.
