Geocache Description:

This takes the cacher to the statue commerating peace accord between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. As of 25 Aug we were notified that the Peace statue had been stolen, recovered and placed in safe keeping. We have no idea when the site/statue will be back to normal. Boundary cones are in place along the kerb so parking is not as easy. The cache is still there. We will post info as it becomes available to us. Rather a sad part of the story for the moment.

The George Mitchell Peace Bridge, a few hundred yards north, was also dedicated to the goal of peace and an end to "the troubles."

The cache is a tablock box with a logbook, pen and pencil, 2 geocoins and 2 travelbugs. Quite a bonanza for the first few finders. Please return the log to the ziplock bag as protection against damp.

There is offroad parking and the cache is wheelchair accessible.
