Geocache Description:

Join us for our August meeting on Saturday, August 11th at the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins GA.

We will be meeting in the Eagle Conference Room on the 3rd floor from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Admission is free. Since it's so hot outside, we decided to do an indoor activity this month! We will be playing a "scavenger hunt" game inside the museum. This is a great way to learn about the history of aviation and have fun at the same time! You will need to sign in at the meeting location at 2:00pm to receive your scavenger hunt clue sheet. You will have one hour to gather as many answers as you can and return to the meeting location. We will then have our GGA meeting and announce the winners. Prizes will be awarded for the first, second, and third place finishers. Everyone that participates will receive a small prize just for playing! You may form teams or participate as an individual. Of course there will also be plenty of time for socializing and swapping trackables. The meeting is open to everyone, if you are not yet a member of the GGA, come find out what we're all about!

While you're here, don't forget to find the virtual cache

The Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, Georgia is one of the largest aviation museums in the United States and a major Air Force Heritage, Exhibit and Education Center in the Southeast. Situated on a beautiful 51-acre site next to Robins Air Force Base, the Museum is the second largest museum in the U.S. Air Force. Admission is free and the museum is open 9 am to 5 pm daily except Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day and Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve after 1:00 pm. The Museum is located 10 miles east of I-75 exit 144 at the end of Russell Parkway. The Museum has been accredited by the American Association of Museums - one of only seven aviation museums in the United States to earn such a professional distinction. More than 90 aircraft are on public display and visitors can sit in several individual cockpits. The Museum is also home to the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame which has the stories and artifacts of men and women - both civilian and military - who have made significant contributions to aviation.
