Akkeshi town has around 10 thousand people and is boasts a fishing industry. From Edo ear, the town was prosperous by fishery of salmon and herring. Especially, oyster of Akkeshi is very popular in Hokkaido. Boyodai was opened in 1979. It is great vista point, and you can see Akkeshi Bay, Cape Shirippa, Daikoku Island, Cape Aikappu, and Akkeshi-ohashi bridge and downtown of Akkeshi. Please bring your pen.
厚岸町は人口１万人あまりの水産業が盛んな町です。江戸時代からニシン漁、サケ漁で栄えできました。現在は特にカキの産地としてはよく知られています。望洋台は１９７９年に完成しました。ここからは厚岸湾を一望し、晴れた日には厚岸湾口の尻羽岬や大黒島、愛冠岬を望み、厚岸大橋や厚岸市街の全景を眺望することができます。筆記具を持参ください。
