A bunch of us were out today exploring a couple of ponds we had never kayaked on. Since I found a cache on one of them, I figured I would place a cache on the other. Contained in our group were a couple of newbie kayakers. One was a friend from out of state and the other was her dog Joey, who had never been near water, certainly never in a kayak and had to take a lot of convincing to believe that he wanted to do either.
In the end, after a little splashing about, he discovered that water was okay after all and riding in a kayak is almost as good as riding in the car. So I placed this cache to commemorate his first time in water over his ankles.
This is a large bison tube hidden along the edge of the pond. I placed it without leaving my kayak and should be able to find it just the same. There are no motorized boats allowed on Fosters Pond.
