Geocache Description:

Fireflies grow in wild around here, upper stream of Hirai river ( the branch of the Tama River).

You can see lighting of fireflies two to three weeks from around the end of June every year.

From your car, you can watch easily the lighting of fireflies because Hirai river is beside the road.

When you see the fireflies Please observe the following.

• Do not capture them

• Do not shed light on firefly

• Be careful with the traffic accident

多摩川の支流、平井川の上流では、ホタルが自生しています。

毎年６月下旬頃から２〜３週間みる事ができます。

ここは平井川沿に道路があり、車を走らせていると目前をホタルが飛んできたりと気軽にホタル鑑賞ができます。

ホタルをみる時は次の事をお守りください。

・捕獲しない

・ホタルに光を当てない

・交通事故に注意
