Greetings from Spudpn & Bohrap on what will be our first event. I am also told, by a reliable source, that it is the first Manawatu event as well.
We thought it would be a good idea to organise a gathering of fellow Manawatu Geocachers to meet and greet and mark International Geocaching Day.
This event is open to everyone and we encourage all new geocachers to attend. Families are welcome.
Geocachers from Wanganui, Horowhenua, Hawkes Bay & Wairarapa are also invited. The more the merrier.
Please bring a plate (of finger food) to share. There will also be bar facilities along with non-alcoholic drinks available for purchase at reasonable club prices.
If you wish to swap some TB's and GeoCoins feel free to "Drop Off" the item in the event before the 18th of August.
There are also two caches within a few hundred metres of the event - Hopping off to war (traditional cache) & Bonnie Babies (? cache), if you haven't already logged them.
The event is inside, so weather is not an issue. There are toilets and a couple of big log fires to keep you warm, along with plenty of free parking.
