This cache is hidden In Honor of Lovie Dovie, In Memory of Pretty Girl and In Tribute to Nathan.
The Good - Lovie Dovie is a beautiful girl (see Photo Gallery). She is a cruelty case that was rescued from Fort Worth, TX by really wonderful people who have dedicated their lives to animals that are in need of comfort and love. Those same folks are very important to me, The Duke of Earl. Because of them I am living in a home where I am spoiled rotten and I like that ! Check out my profile page for a poem - Rescue Dogs
The Sad – Her Name Was Pretty Girl (see Photo Gallery) She was a very frightened pup that was rescued along a busy highway by men who just could not drive by this frightened animal without stopping to try and help.Along came a 3rd man -- yes, the same person that rescued Lovie Dovie and found me a home - but you probably knew that was coming. Pretty Girl had experienced a very rough life so the adjustment to being treated well was taking some time. There is a long story of compassion that goes with this and the ending is The Sad part … Pretty Girl became a Doggy Angel in April of 2011 and is greatly missed each and every day.
The Bad – This is the part about Nathan – ( see Photo Gallery) … the shirt says it all. Nathan was used as a bait dog for dog fighting. Nathan did not deserve this. His injuries were so severe that he did not survive. There is a Good part within the Bad … He was also from TX and was shown love at the very end of his life by the devoted people of TAO .. The Abandoned Ones "Saving Animals in Danger". You can find this rescue group on Facebook. Please Don't Ever Forget Nathan
The Really Ugly – those are the people who abandon and abuse animals. We HATE them - they are NOT in our Photo Gallery.
The startup swag in this cache is directed toward dogs and cats.. please remember – NO FOOD items are allowed in caches as this encourages the desire of wild animals to be mugglers. We would love it if you to stick with the theme of "pet swag" but other meaningful items are also appreciated… or just sign the log and leave a message about a wonderful animal that is or has been in your life. The people who own the large brick container where the smaller cache container is located will be checking the notes – so give them a reason to smile with a "Happy Tail" and then tell us more when you log in. Local rescue groups that my people friends and family support are: Precious Paws, Venango County Humane Society and CART [County Animal Response Team]. For the FTF .. a donation will be made to a local rescue group in your name. The initial cache also contains a TB dedicated to Nathan and a "Log My Dog" TB that is ready to activate for tracking your pup. It appears that coords show wrong side of road -- please send more exact location if you can get a better reading. Thanks.
