Tired Drivers Die

Queensland has perhaps the worst road toll of all states. At the time this cache was hidden already 134 people had died this year on our roads (as at July 2012) - a massive 10% rise when compared to the same period the previous year. And every day it gets worse as more people die.

2022 was the worst annual road toll in a decade. And one of the highest percentage causes was Fatigue - around 1 in 7 of all fatalities, every year, are caused by fatigue in Queensland (Speeding, drink and drugged driving are higher % causes). This is nearly double the rate of fatigue-caused-deaths in NSW and VIC. What is different about QLD? It is the long drives - the longer distances. WE GET MORE TIRED!

TIRED DRIVERS DIE. If you are heading out of Brisbane into the broader Queensland countryside on a long drive, then take a break and refresh yourself here in North Brisbane. Just up the road is the start of the Bruce Highway, back south is the last of the city traffic snarls. Here is a place to refresh.
