A great walk along the shore line will take you to this geocache at a favourite spot for the Pilbara locals. Take a picnic or a fishing rod or just enjoy the view (a number of scenes from the movie "Red Dog" were actually filmed nearby).
The geocache gets its name because not too far from this spot I took my 4 year old daughter fishing. I was holding the rod and having no luck at all. I was also getting a bit thirsty. So I handed the rod to my daughter and reached in to the esky for a can. No sooner had my daughter got hold of the rod when it then shot out of her hands at a great speed and off in to the water (not my daughter, just the rod). She looked very startled and I was aghast - I had a fish on and now was about to lose all my fishing gear and rod and reel. So I dropped the can and dived in to the water, still with hat and sunnies on, and swam down to grab the rod. I got hold of it and then burst out of the water for a breath and realised the fish was still on the line. I couldn't stop laughing and my daughter was very bemused - "why are you laughing dad?" she asked, as I stood there in the water, drenched, playing the fish. Alas, it beat me finally but although it got off it was still one of our more memorable fishing experiences. Two years on it still makes my daughter and I laugh when we think back to it. You are looking for a clear plastic click-clack container, filled with a few goodies, notepad and a couple of pencils.
