This is one of a number of lime kilns in the area. I have placed caches at a number of the others, Craggyhall Lime Kilns, Underneath the Arches, The Kiln Fields, Kiln me softly and Adderstone Lime Kiln #2.
Access to this one is along a path which starts at the one and ONLY parking waypoint identified in the listing. Please only access this cache from this point. Do NOT attempt to park on or near the A1 and cross the road as this is VERY dangerous. The short walk is much more pleasant although the nettles do sting a bit.
