A relatively easy find, the greatest challenge will be getting to this "tight spot" between the highway and Mahoning Creek. The good news.. the big, shiny, silver thing should help a bunch and make the trip interesting and fun. Park in the grocery store lot - make sure to wave at the traffic driving below. Please hide this as well as you can, as muggles are often wandering nearby.
This Cache replaces "GC146N5 - Above and Below" that was hidden nearby in 2007 (and which I adopted from Joe and Jeni). That original (nano) was prone to loss due to muggles or a passing thunderstorm, and often had water damage because of its clever hidey-spot. It was time to retire it, but I wanted to put one in its place to take advantage of the cool location and to honor (in a weird kind of way) the GeoJ's original "Above and Below" theme. Thus, the title of this cache...
Dunn was under Oveur and I was under Dunn
The Airplane movies are favorites of mine, simply because of the level and quality of the puns and sight gags. I love this particular scene (it is a classic bit of screenplay), as the flight crew is introduced to each other. Their banter is available in text below or through this link on YouTube.
Introductions of the flight crew:
Simon: Gentlemen, I'd like you to meet your captain, Captain Oveur.
Clarence Oveur: Gentlemen, welcome aboard.
Simon: Captain, your navigator, Mr. Unger, and your first officer, Mr. Dunn.
Clarence Oveur: Unger.
Unger: Oveur.
Dunn: Oveur.
Clarence Oveur: Dunn. Gentlemen, let's get to work.
Simon: Unger, didn't you serve under Oveur in the Air Force?
Unger: Not directly. Technically, Dunn was under Oveur and I was under Dunn.
Dunn: Yep.
Simon: So, Dunn, you were under Oveur and over Unger.
Unger: Yep.
Clarence Oveur: That's right. Dunn was over Unger and I was over Dunn.
Unger: So, you see, both Dunn and I were under Oveur, even though I was under Dunn.
Clarence Oveur: Dunn was over Unger, and I was over Dunn.
I laugh out loud every time I hear this stuff. I wonder how many takes it got for them to nail it like they did.
Placed for the GC3Q1Y6 - In Support Of Bloomsburg Geo Bash 2012 on 8/4/2012. First time honors to Stevensons a Searchin.
