The QE2 Mile
The QE2 Mile is a walk through the historic centre of Southampton named after Cunard’s former ocean liner Queen Elizabeth 2. The route for this cache encompasses the latter half of the mile south to the waterfront, where the QE2’s modern counterpart the Queen Mary 2 and other major cruise liners may be seen departing.
This multipoint covers a distance of just over ½ mile from the starting point (Bargate) to GZ in Mayflower Park (c. 1 mile round trip). The cache is a small clip-lock container large enough for Travel Bugs and small items. Could be combined with GCXDGG Southampton City Walls for a round trip taking you back to the starting point (via Western Esplanade).
