Alone in the Dark: Outbreak Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

HighCountryAdmin: I am archiving this defunct geocache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair or replace the cache sometime in the future, please contact me via my profile, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, I will be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

A scary night-time cache!

In the final hours of mankind, there is only one way to survive: undo time itself.

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CHILDREN due to the theme and terrain.

----------------------------------------------------

This is a NIGHT ONLY multicache using electronic audio playback circuitry. At each location, press the button to hear the next clue. Please close the container latches firmly when done and (please!) replace the camo as carefully as possible.

This cache will not allow you to play during the day. Hours of operation are 9:00pm - 5:00am only.

This cache will require roughly 1.5 miles of off-trail hiking at night. Bring a strong flashlight and be extremely careful. There are five stages.

Bring your gloves. Things to watch out for:

  • thorns/cactus
  • irregular terrain/tripping hazards/holes
  • wild animals
  • bugs/spiders/large spiders/larger spiders
  • zombies

You should not have to cross any fences; follow them around.

It has long been known that relativistic solar flare radiation ionizes the atmosphere, distorting radio waves and causing vast magnetic fields to sweep the earth.

It will not be known for decades that this can drag radio transmissions and matter backwards in time from the future, such as it is for the human race.

Nobody knows for sure where the zombie virus came from, but it is estimated to have first appeared in Northern Colorado somewhere in 2013.

A handful of scientists-- those remaining after the zombie plague has nearly destroyed the human race-- have a plan that will unravel time.

Tonight's solar storm may prove interesting.
