[JLX.42] Galliera Traditional Cache

IL GEO M&M RED TRAIL

Nato durante l'evento GeoMare&Monti 2011 come selezione di cache del ponente ligure, teoricamente fattibili nell'arco di una giornata, ora acquisisce una propria autonomia e si trasforma nel primo percorso cittadino nel centro di Genova.

Si ripromette di soddisfare i tanti geocacher che finora hanno visitato la città e che sempre hanno espresso il proprio rammarico per l'assenza totale di cache fisici, nonostante le tante bellezze della "Superba", profondamente legate alla storia.

Il percorso è realizzato in modo tale da agevolare la ricerca di tutte le cache presenti e può essere affrontato seguendo una delle seguenti modalità:

MODALITA' A:
Iniziate dalla cache [JLX.29], Parcheggiando l'auto nel parcheggio sotterraneo Park Vittoria (a pagamento).

MODALITA' B:
Parcheggiate gratuitamente in Fiumara 2, prendete il treno da Genova-Sampierdarena FS ed in 15 minuti raggiungete Genova-Bringole FS, al costo di un biglietto orario urbano.

MODALITA' C:
I più pigri possono raggiungere le cache in auto ma fate attenzione: non è sempre possibile trovare posto e ogni volta che cambiate parcheggio, dovete pagare e ritirare un nuovo biglietto.

L'OSPEDALE

E' una struttura sanitaria storica tuttora attiva. Edificato nel 1877 dalla Duchessa di Galliera, è attualmente uno dei grandi complessi ospedalieri di Genova.

È situato nel quartiere di Carignano, in posizione sopraelevata, ma in prossimità della Fiera del mare di Genova.

L'ospedale nacque come Opera Pia De Ferrari Brignole Sale, e deve le sue origini alla munificenza della marchesa Maria Brignole Sale De Ferrari, Duchessa di Galliera, moglie del benefattore Raffaele De Ferrari, a cui è titolata la principale piazza della città.

LA DUCHESSA DI GALLIERA
La Duchessa di Galliera Maria Brignole Sale De Ferrari (Genova, 1811 – Genova, 1888) è stata una filantropa italiana.

Discendente del casato dei Brignole Sale, si devono a lei la nascita dei primi musei genovesi, Palazzo Rosso e Palazzo Bianco e la fondazione dell'ospedale genovese che porta il suo titolo, l'Ospedale Galliera. Una statua a lei dedicata è situata nei giardini interni dell'ospedale.

Appartenente ad una delle più prestigiose famiglie genovesi, è stata una delle personalità più illustri della Genova dell'Ottocento ed è ricordata per la sua munificenza.

Importante il suo ruolo anche nella cultura a Genova, segnatamente per la donazione al Comune di Palazzo Rosso e il lascito ereditario di Palazzo Bianco, sedi principali oggi dei Musei di Strada Nuova.

IL CACHE
Dalla cache GC3DDZW [JLX] 10.1# P. Vittoria si intraprende la stretta scalinata che parte alla vostra destra per raggiungere la collina di Carignano. Il cache si incontra in prossimità del cancello di ingresso principale dell'ospedale, zona quindi di transito continuo, soprattutto di auto. Non è praticamente visibile vi invito, perciò, a non rendervi responsabili di un'eventuale perdita. Fate molta attenzione ai babbani e a non far cadere il contenitore; sarebbe praticamente impossibile recuperarlo.

AVVERTENZE E RACCOMANDAZIONI
1) RICOLLOCAZIONE DEL CACHE
Il cache è oggetto di frequente manutenzione. E' facile, tuttavia, incorrere in perdite o esposizioni eccessive ai geomuggles. Si prega pertanto, di riporre il cache esattamente come indicato nelle foto spoiler.

2) REGISTRAZIONE
La veridicità dei ritrovamenti è fondamentale per garantire una manutenzione programmata ed efficiente. Al termine di ogni sessione di manutenzione verrà pubblicata foto del registro delle firme. Verranno eliminati tutti i ritrovamenti che non trovino riscontro. Nessuna eccezione.

CONTENUTO: nano logbook resistente all'acqua (ricordatevi di portare la penna). No adesivi, no timbri.

THE GEO M&M RED TRAIL
Born during the GeoMare&Monti 2011 event as a cache selection in the west side of Liguria, basically foundable in one day, now it gets its own individuality and it turns into the very first city trail in Genoa city centre.

It promises full satisfaction to the several geocachers who have visited the city and have always complained about the lack of physical geocaches, despite the so many beauties the "Superb" has to offer, closely connected to history.

The trail has been designed in order to make the search easier for any cache and can be done as follows:

MODE A:
Start with cache [JLX.29], park your car in the underground Vittoria Park (toll parking).

MODE B:
Park for free in Fiumara 2, take the train from Genova-Sampierdarena FS and in 15 minutes you will reach Genova-Bringole FS, one way urban ticket.

MODE C:
The laziest ones can reach almost every cache by car but pay attention: you might not find a lot and whenever you change parking, you will have to pay and get a new ticket.

THE HOSPITAL
It is an historical health structure which is still active. Built in 1877 by the Duchess of Galliera, is currently one of the largest hospital complexes in Genoa. It is located in the district of Carignano, in a high position, but adjacent to the Fair of the Sea of Genoa.

The hospital began as "Opera Pia De Ferrari Brignole Sale", and owes its origin to the munificence of the Marquis Maria Brignole Sale De Ferrari, Duchess of Galliera, the benefactor Raffaele de Ferrari's wife, to whom is titled the main square of the city.

THE DUCHESS OF GALLIERA
The Duchess of Galliera Maria Brignole Sale De Ferrari (Genoa, 1811 - Genoa, 1888) was an Italian philanthropist.

Descendant of the House of Brignole Sale, we owe her the birth of the first museums of Genoa, Palazzo Rosso and Palazzo Bianco, and the foundation of the hospital that bears his title, Galliera Hospital. A statue dedicated to her stands in the gardens of the hospital.

Belonging to one of the most prestigious families of Genoa, she was one of the most illustrious personalities of Genoa in the nineteenth century and is remembered for his generosity.

She played an important role in the culture in Genoa, in particular for the donation to the City of Red Palace and the legacy inherited by the White Palace, today headquarters of the "Museums of New Road".

THE CACHE
From the cache GC3DDZW [JLX] 10.1# P. Vittoria take the narrow staircase on your right to reach the hill of Carignano. The cache is near the main entrance gate of the hospital, therefore this is an area of continuous transit, especially by car. It is almost invisible, I recommend not to make you responsible for any loss. Pay close attention to the Muggles and not to drop the container, it would be virtually impossible to recover.

WARNINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
1) REPOSITIONING THE CACHE
The cache is subject to frequent maintenance, however, it is easy to incur losses or excessive exposure to geomuggles. So please put exactly where indicated in the spoilers.

2) LOGS
The truth of the founds is very important for a scheduled and efficient maintenance. At the end of every maintenance session a logbook photo will be published. Every found which does not match the logbook will be deleted. No exception admitted.
