delta_hunter: I have no choice anymore but to archive this cache location. Several years ago I was given permission to highlight this park and it's many bonuses. Unfortunately, after many attempts to restock a muggled cache and the latest hoodlum harassment of a family of cachers. The incident was brought to the attention of the village in an attempt to reposition the cache
It was decided to revoke any caches in this pack moving forward. It is still a very nice place to go for a stroll and the new ice cream and cafe shop will draw more to enjoy the summer evenings. Perhaps I can move the cache over to one of the local businesses still highlighting the area. My apologies

Geocache Description:

T. Spencer Knight Park

This park is to honor T. Spencer Knight. Among a wide variety of attributes he served as Newark Park Commissioner for 27 years, and is responsible for many of Newark's parks.

This is a Travel Bug Hotel, So keep them moving along.

This park is located on the NYS Erie Canal. The Port of Newark offers the boating community docks on either side of the canal`.` It has electric hook ups (free) , water and a pump out station. The Gazebo, swings, picnic area and benches offer a relaxing place for residents and visitors alike.
The free Wi-Fi is great for logging those caches.
Don't forget to check out "Art in Public Places" Titled "Erie Canal, 1825" Painted by: Corky Gossand and Robert Miller.

This cache is hidden in plain view, So muggles will be the biggest hazard. As always, cache in trash out. This goes for
our K9 companions as well, look for the poo stations.
The Only time you can cache here will be from 6am to 9:30pm
Please follow these hours, so as not to disturb the boaters.
