Geocache Description:

The cache is made fro 2 inch PVC pipe and painted brown.  Please return securely.  Due to high winds and snow we do not want to lose it.

Bullion Pastures cache is a panoramic view at 11,450 elevation high in the Tushar mountains 8 miles west of Marysvale Utah.  The word Tushar is an American Indian term for small drops of water or a Spanish word that means snow covered peaks.  Gold and silver was discovered in the Tushars at the time of the old Spanish trail in the mid 1700's.  Remnants of old ghost towns and mining activity are prevalent in this area.  This cache is not accessible only in late July to the end of November due to snow and gate closiers.  We recommend using a SUV,ATV, 4x4 or a UTV.  Take your time and enjoy the view.  Mule deer, elk and rocky mountain goats are common to the area.  Remember just a few miles south, is the boyhood home of LeRoy Parker, alias Butch Cassidy.
