Keimiötunturi (610 m) kuuluu Ylläs-Pallastunturien kansallispuistoon Käsivarren Lapissa. Keimiötunturin päälle nousee polku Tunturikeimiön majalta. Huipulta avautuu upeat maisemat Jerisjärvelle ja Pallastunturiin. Polku on paikoittain kivinen ja jyrkkä. Varaa aikaa noin pari tuntia kipuamiseen, sillä laelle kertyy matkaa noin 5 km.
Keimiötunturi on kansallispuiston virkistysalueella, joten liiku lähinnä poluilla äläkä roskaa tai vahingoita luontoa.
Kätkö sijaitsee huipun läheisyydessä. Purkissa on kynä ja lokikirja ja sinne mahtuu pieniä reissaajia tai kolikoita. Oma kynä on varminta ottaa kätkölle mukaan!
Keimiötunturi (610 m) is part of Ylläs-Pallastunturi National Park in western Lapland, so you have to follow the rules of the national parks. (visit link) ) The path to the top goes from the hut of Tunturikeimiö. The path is rocky and steep in places.The views from the top to Jerisjärvi and Pallas are spectacular.
In the cache there is the logbook and a pencil - but it´s wise to have your own pen(cil) with you.
It takes about two hours to climb to the top.
