This is another in our series dedicated to the Baccalieu Trail. Our goal is to get a cache in every community along the Baccalieu Trail.
Lower Island Cove is another small community along the Baccalieu Trail. Many years ago there used to be a community wharf but that has since been removed with the centralization of the fishery to other community wharfs. Every August the Lower Island Cove Regatta is held near the pond. The rowing races do not take place anymore but there is still a celebration involving music, games , food, and fireworks.
The cache is located in what can be a high muggle area so stealth may be required.
