Geocache Description:

This series is more about the places than the cache! Growing up out here in the sticks, I always heard and knew of these "villages" that were created by the people that lived here. Some of these "villages" aren't on the new maps, and almost all are now considered part of a nearby bigger town or borough.

This cache is located in Amsbry. Amsbry is alittle town right over the bridge and railroad tracks. Should be an easy c&d, but take a minute to enjoy the area around you and drive around a bit. Slowly drive down into Amsbry & make the loop to see what this little town still offers. On the right as you enter Amsbry is a cute little playground and the old schoolhouse. The schoolhouse was also home to the Rod & Gun Club. As you reach the top of the loop, you can see the Amsbry Methodist Church. Cache is a small container with some swag in it! Enjoy!

Parking for this cache should be right near the cache off the road in gravel area...don't attempt this cache from Rt 53 please pull off in the gravel. Please be careful of getting off and on Rt 53 cause it is a very busy and the cars go very fast. When traveling through Amsbry, please drive SLOWLY cause there are families and children in the area and the road is small around the turns.
