PUENTE ROMANO
Data del siglo I y es uno de los iconos de la ciudad, siendo tan sólo superado en antiguedad por el verraco de origen vetón. Aunque ha sufrido varias reconstrucciones importantes, gran parte del puente aún conserva su origen romano primigenio. Tuvo un castillete en el centro y almenas en sus laterales, pero estos elementos fueron eliminados en la reconstrucción de 1627. También tuvo, en la parte vieja del puente (la parte del centro de la ciudad), un saliente sobre el que se situó el verraco, aunque luego éste se movió a la parte central del puente, para acabar ahora sacándose del mismo

It had a little castle in the center and battlements on the sides, but these items were removed in the reconstruction of 1627.
