Povijest crkve
Franjevci dolaze u Našice već u drugoj polovini 13. st i s manjim prekidima tijekom turske okupacije Slavonije (16./17. st.) trajno ovdje žive i rade do naših dana. Predaja kaže da je crkvu sv. Antuna Padovanskog i samostan uz nju podigao narod ovog kraja. Ta najstarija crkva potječe iz prve polovice 14. stoljeća i bila je jednobrodna crkva s poligonalnim svetištem, kvalitetno građena opekom i kamenom u gotičkom stilu. Početkom 18. stoljeća crkva se obnavlja u baroknom stilu, uz nju se zida visoki zvonik, a samostan dobiva svoj današnji izgled. Crkva je proširena prema zapadu dodavanjem kora, a sa sjeverne strane dograđene su joj dvije kapela. Tijekom 18. i 19. st. Samostan u Našicama važno je središte pastoralnog, prosvjetnog i umjetničkog života sjeverne Hrvatske . Ovdje djeluju mnogi poznati franjevci.
Crkva danas
Prostor crkve riznica je vrijednih umjetničkih djela, među kojima se ističu barokne skulpture i slike, bogato oblikovan oratorij i propovjedaonica. Crkva ima sedam oltara, vrijedne barokne orgulje i dvije kripte. Početkom 20.st. crkva je oslikana freskama, a krajem stoljeća postavljeni su vitraji.
Samostan je smješten uz južni zid crkve i sa svoja četiri krila oblikuje kvadrat samostanskog dvorišta. Svojom vrijednošću ističu se prostori samostanske blagavaonice i sakristije u prizemlju. Na katu su sobe za braću franjevce, knjižnica sa deset inkunabula i drugim vrijednim knjigama, te stalna izložba «Blago našičkih franjevaca». Kompleks crkve smješten je na brežuljku uz zapadni rub gradskog središta i okružen je njegovanim okolišem u kojem se ističu skulpture Majke Božje i sv. Franje Asiškog.

History of the Church
The Franciscans arrive in Nasice in the second half of the 13th century with brief interruptions during the Turkish occupation of Slavonia (16./17. c) permanently living and working here until today. Tradition says that the Church of SS. Anthony of Padua convent and raised by her people of this region. The oldest church dates from the first half of the 14th century and was the nave church with a polygonal sanctuary, well built with brick and stone in the Gothic style. In the early 18th century church was restored in baroque style, with a wall of her high tower, and convent gets its present form. The church was extended westwards by adding bark, and on the north side were added to her two chapels. During the 18th and 19 century monastery in Nasice important is the center of pastoral, educational and artistic life of northern Croatian. Here many famous Franciscans.
The church today
The church is a treasure trove of valuable works of art, among which the baroque sculptures and paintings, richly designed and pulpit oratory. The church has seven altars, valuable Baroque organ and two crypts. In early 20th century The church was decorated with frescoes, and the end of the century stained glass windows were installed.
The monastery is located along the southern wall of the church with its four wings formed a square yard of the monastery. Its value can highlight areas of the monastery dining room and a vestry on the ground. On the floor are rooms for the Franciscan friars, library with ten incunabula and other valuable books, and a permanent exhibition "Treasure Našice Franciscans." Church complex is located on a hill on the western edge of the city center and surrounded by manicured environment in which to highlight the sculpture of Our Lady and St. Francis of Assisi.
