If you go in the right season you can see some little signs of recovery and beauty such as flowers and wildlife, however, you will also see great damage. Just a little further down the trail and you can see the shell or foundations of homes/structures lost to the fire. Tragic, this was a beautiful area (and God willing will be once again).
Park along Stump Canyon and take the short walk down the trail to Ground Zero just off the trail.
