Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to my note I am archiving it.

Geocache Description:

The Dearne Dander is a 3-4 mile walk which originally comprised of 6 caches - the 6th being a bonus cache. However, due to number 4 disappearing and the fact it wasn't proving popular from the feedback of other cachers, we decided to archive it and reduce the walk to 5 caches in total. The coordinates for the bonus cache can be collected from the logbooks of 1, 2, 3 & 5.

All caches contain log book, pen, and treasure for swaps.  The bonus cache was originally hidden containing the trackable 'Sophie the Siamese Cat'. To gain access to the footpath that leads to this cache, go through the gate on Doncaster Road, and bear right, keeping the river on your left. The path will reach a wooded area and the cache is just off the path, at the start of the trees. The log book contains the final coordinates needed to find the bonus cache (number 6). 

To continue to cache 6, keep following the path and when it exits the wooded area, climb over the stile and walk on top of the embankment, still keeping the river on your left. After the bend in the river you will see a bridge crossing the weir. Don't cross the bridge, instead turn right and follow the path to the cache.

To finish the Dander, go back along the path, over the bridge and turn left, following the Dearne back to Waypoint 1 which is listed in The Dearne Dander 1.
