This cache is near a spot we used to stop and look over the Bracket Creek area back in the hunting days. It offers the first great view of Ross peak, as well as a good view all around. I have enjoyed watching this area go from almost bare hill sides, to the forest it is now. After finding the cache, go on up the road and explore, hike up to the pass or sit and enjoy the view.
The cache is a small lock-n-lock box with room for a few small trade items. I got it started with a Mini Cooper, carabiner and match case.
The road to this area is open from June 16 - October 14 for vehicles, though you can walk in when the gate is closed. I'll let you make your own judgement about the road, it's not 4x4 only, but it's rough, and would be much worse wet. The lower road should not be a problem for any vehicle.
