Geocache Description:

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE ABOVE COORDINATES!This is a two step multi cache. The coords above will take you to a small cement plaque. Read it to find the information specified below. We have permission from the school district superintendent to put caches here. PLEASE DO NOT LOOK FOR THESE CACHES DURING SCHOOL HOURS, MONDAY THRU FRIDAY 7:30AM TO 4:00PM!!

The coordinates you need to find the cache are: N 046 49.4AA W 092 14.BB2. To get AA, find the last 2 digits of the year the Jackson Garden Club was founded and add 9. To get BB, find the last 2 digits of the year the plaque was dedicated to the memory of the men of Hermantown who served their country. The building opened in fall of 1938, serving grades 1-9, until 1941 when an addition was built and it became the high school. The first class graduated in 1942. There were nineteen graduates: seven girls and twelve boys. In 1988, a new high school was built a few blocks away. The old high school was converted into a new middle school. This is Cache #4 on Kaylee's fabulous geocaching voyage that is part of her Girl Scout Silver Award Project.
