We haven't hosted an event in just over a year and wanted to try having a Summer Theme event for this year. With the DAG Facebook group asking about different cachers holding different kinds of events through out the year I suggested that we take the August month for an event as I already had something in mind. This event is open to all geocachers so if you are free on this day come on out for some fun and meet some old/new geocaching faces.
Dad used to play baseball for many years, competitive too as a kid/teenager. I love the whole aspect of the game and playing it as well. But while in grade school I loved playing Soceer Baseball with my friends even more. And that is why I have chosen to have this kind of event. It is a great game of baseball but all you need is a good foot and soceer ball.
This game can be played by all ages so bring everyone in your family as no one will be sitting on the bleachers unless they just want to watch. And all you need to bring is yourself/family and a good kicking foot. And don't forget to bring a lawn chair for yourself for when it's chow down time.
I also made the suggestion about having a potluck lunch after the game. If you would like to bring something to the event for a light lunch then just add what that will be too your log. We will be bringing stuff to the event regardless so anything extra would be welcomed.
