The Skyline Drive-In opened in 1948 on the site of the former William E. Johnson farmstead. It had one huge movie screen and it is estimated that somewhere between 580 and 650 cars could view a movie at once. Originally, twenty boys were employed to park cars and show people how to operate the speakers, and six girls were employed to sell tickets. The drive-in closed in August of 1986. We do have the permission of the current business owner to place this cache. This is Cache #8 on Kaylee's fabulous geocaching voyage that is a part of her Girl Scout Silver Award Project.
