Il cache si trova all'interno di una stretta grotta naturale di arenaria: non andare mai da soli, potrebbe essere pericoloso. Sono indispensabili il casco e la lampada frontale. Prima di partire avvisare sempre qualcuno della vostra destinazione. Non sono necessari corda e imbrago, ma alcuni passaggi richiedono un minimo di preparazione fisica. Potrebbero essere presenti pipistrelli che non vanno assolutamente disturbati, specialmente durante il letargo, potrebbero morire. Non sottovalutare mai l'ambiente di grotta, è sempre potenzialmente pericoloso. Il soccorso alpino e speleologico è contattabile tramite il numero 118.
Quando le fate escono dalla grotta sono solite danzare sul lago, ma sono così gelose ed amanti della loro solitudine che avvolgono tutta la montagna di una fitta ed impenetrabile nebbia per non essere viste. Così se una presenza umana disturba il loro ballo esse si avvicinano ammalianti, sorridenti e tentatrici conducendola per sempre nelle profondità misterioise del lago.
Stage 1
L'ingresso della grotta si affaccia sulla valle del Dardagna e vi si accede solo dal WP Trailhead dal lato sud del lago. Non provate a raggiungerlo direttamente o da altre direzioni, non è possibile.

Il cache è ben mimetizzato e si trova quasi alla fine della grotta a circa 25 metri dall'ingresso e 3 metri di profondità. Se necessario usare prima l'hint e poi lo spoiler. Ci si arriva per alcuni passaggi molto stretti in cui è necessario calarsi e rannicchiarsi. Servono casco e lampada frontale.
Tana delle Fate è inserita in un ambiente naturale di grande bellezza ed è comunque meritevole di essere visitato. Il lago di Pratignano è un ambiente di torbiera con particolarità botaniche come lo sfagno, il trifoglio fibrino e la drosera rotundifolia, una rarissima pianta insettivora. Il lago è percorribile in tutto il suo perimetro ed è circondato da praterie in cui spesso vi sono cavalli al pascolo e circondato da boschi di faggio e abete. Nell'estremità sud, lungo il sentiero 401, è presente una pianta monumentale di faggio censita dalla Regione. Il lato est è a strapiombo sulle pareti di arenaria dei monti della Riva in cui culmina il Becco d'Aquila, uno sperone di roccia esposto nel vuoto da cui si ammira un panorama immenso che spazia dalla pianura bolognese, al Corno alle Scale fino alla vetta del monte Cimone. La visita al Becco d'Acquila, WP Becco Acquila, è assoluamente da non perdere. Attorno al lago sono infine presenti alcune aree predisposte per il barbecue.
Il luogo è raggiungibile da numerosi sentieri anche in MTB. Consiglio di lasciare l'auto al Parcheggio 2x4 percorrendo i sentieri 405 e 401, 4km 300m di dislivello Si può ammirare una visuale grandiosa sulla valle dell'Ospitale. Il parcheggio 4x4 vi distrugge la macchina ed è da sfaticati.

Tana delle Fate (Lair of Fairy) is located in an environment of great natural beauty.
