Construite à la fin du 15ème siècle, elle est située sur les terres de l’ancienne châtellenie royale. Souvent ébranlée par le Doubs, elle a été rénové à plusieurs reprises au cours des 16ème et 18ème siècles.
En entrant dans l’église par la porte latérale, vous marcherez sur 2 dalles funéraires du XVIème siècle (ayant servi de table d’autel).
Poussez la porte et dirigez-vous vers l’autel, vous passerez alors sur 2 autres dalles funéraires gothiques du XVIème siècle. Si vos yeux sont bien aiguisés, vous pourrez lire, sur l’une d’elle, « Cy gist discrette personne Mssire Audrey». L’autre est celle d’un couple habitant le lieu dit « la barre de Saunières » au XVIème siècle.
L’originalité de cette église réside surtout dans le fait qu’elle est inondable.
