Geocache Description:

This is the 3rd cache placed by the Hubble Family to bring awareness of Lynchburg's first off-leash
Dog Park, for both large and small dogs! Park at the Blackwater Creek Athletic Area parking lot off
Monticello Avenue to start your journey. You will walk right past the new dog park!

A nice gravel path will lead you from the parking lot to the cache site except for the last 100 feet
where you will enter the tree line. Look for a large formation of rocks covered with a light or white
colored moss (hence the name of the cache). Near ground zero there are a few ground hog holes,
I did NOT place the cache down a dark hole.
The recent wind storms we had have dropped several large trees on the route to the cache, so I increased the terrain difficulty rating. If you own a canine, be sure and bring them along and enjoy the new park that is free to the public and meet fellow dog lovers!
For the first 3 months the dog park hours are Mon, Tues, Thurs, Sat, and Sunday. A rabies tag and dog
license tag (from any municipality) is needed for the dog to enter the park.
For the First to Find I placed a mini-geocaching compass, an official "Log My Dog" tag, so you can
turn your dog into a trackable, plus tons of groovy cool swag for kids! ***Congratulations to CachingGator for their 1st FTF Great Job!***
