Geocache Description:

This cache is near Sensyu Tunnel that passes under the Sensyu Park.
There is no pen in this cache container. Please bring your pen.

Sensyu Tunnel opened on December 4, 1978 because of the congestion cancellation and shortening the traffic time of the Akita city. The length of the tunnel is 189m. The town was divided into parts from east to west with Sensyu Park, and people were done inconveniently through necessity before. The flow of the car that toward the downtown from the Tegata district became smooth with this tunnel, and pedestrian's service was attempted.

このキャッシュは，千秋公園の下を通る千秋トンネル付近にあります。
キャッシュにはペンが入っていません。筆記具をご持参ください。

　千秋トンネルは，秋田市内の渋滞解消と通行時間の短縮のため，昭和53年12月4日に開通しました。トンネルの長さは189mです。かつては，千秋公園によって町が東西に分断され，人々は不便を余儀なくされていました。このトンネルによって，手形方面から中心市街地に向かう車の流れがスムーズに成り，歩行者の便も図られたのです。
