Castle Meadows is a 20 hectare floodplain/grazing land/meadow area on the banks of the River Usk adjacent to the town of Abergavenny.
The Meadows is a popular area for families out for a short stroll and especially dog-walkers (although surprisingly clear of the messy stuff!) and as such can be quite busy with muggles at certain times of the day. However retrieval of this cache shouldn't be too problematic with a bit of care.
The site itself is easily accessed from the town and is a pleasant spot with larger trees, small copses, and streams. It is perfectly flat and suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and the like. It is also a particularly pleasant stroll on a summers evening.
From the cache site you have splendid views of the Sugar Loaf, Little Skirrid, Abergavenny Castle the Town Hall Clock Tower with it's distinctive roof and of course you are right next to the River Usk.
Cache is a small, hanging container.
Please replace the cache carefully as found and make sure it is secure, many thanks.
