Bei Irndorf gibt es einen Staudamm auf 840m Höhe.

Er soll bei Starkregen das Oberflächenwasser zurückhalten.

1986 als der Damm noch nicht existierte hatten sich in dem Bereich grosse Wassermassen angesammelt und Milionen schäden in Bärental verursacht.
