Geocache Description:


This introduction to Geocaching is part of the Salisbury Community Days “Comics” Themed activities. Have you heard about Geocaching or maybe just starting out and would like to learn more about it? Come and join us! Geocaching can be enjoyed by all ages. We will have different size cache examples so you have an idea what you are searching for. Temporary cashes will have been hidden within Salisbury just for Community Days! If you find them all, you can earn a Village of Salisbury Collectable. (We also have caches placed within the Village for the experienced cachers so they can up their count and earn the collectable. Watch for them). Everyone is welcome – newbies and those with experience. The geocaching community is five million strong and growing. Armed with smartphones or dedicated GPS devices, geocachers are always searching for their next "find." Come join us Friday, August 17th from 6:00 until 7:00 pm.once at the posted cords, please follow the signs. We have also teamed up with folks like GeoFreakz, CUNB and Village of Salisbury for prizes.

Cachers will need to sign the log and affix the sticker to their passport to receive the non-collectable Village 'Coin'. They will be available for pick up: Friday evening at the Event - anyone that has already gotten the caches Saturday between 1 - 4 in the area of the Salisbury Village Office - watch for Night/Blossom/5beaver. Sunday at Highland Park (Sunflowers are always in Bloom N 46° 01.330 W 065° 02.708 is located within this park with others nearby) from 11:30 - 1:30. After that time, they can be picked up at the Salisbury Village Office. Limited number available.
